| THE TASK |
You will create a presentation that demonstrates were you will go on your vacation and how much it will cost
you. You will need to research each destination and include the following items in your presentation (Your
presentation can be a video, Power Point, or poster board presentation).
- The destination city.
- How many days will your road trip take?
- How much will you spend on fuel for the trip?
- How much will you spend on lodging?
- How much will you spend on food?
- What activities/attractions will you do and how much will this cost?
- An estimation of how much money you will need for your entire road trip.

| THE PROCESS |
You will need to decide which part of the trip you will want to conserve money and which part of the trip
you will spend the most money. Your group will have to decide!
- The first task of this project is for the group to assign tasks for each member of the group.
- You will then want to decide on a car for your trip. (What will you have to think about for your car
selection?)
Click on the car to get started.
- Your group will also need to figure out how many miles you will be driving for your trip. First you
will use the map link below to find the distance to your destination, then you can check your work.

- Looking at some gas prices you will need to estimate how much money you will be spending on fuel for your trip.
Click on the gas pump and then choose a state to check the gas prices in different cities. Or, if you now the zip code, click on
the fuel gauge.

- Your group will need to do some research on lodgings (where you will stay). You will want to get some
prices and some information on what the different lodgings have to offer you.
Click on the lodge to start your search.
- Your group will need to research some dining establishments in order to estimate how much money you will
spend on food.
Fast Food
Restaurants

- What other things will you need to spend money on?
- Once you obtain all of your information, you will want to calculate the total expense of each possible destination.
